Job Summary
The Coordinator of Corporate Relations supports the Corporate Relations team in developing and maintaining relationships with corporate partners that advance the mission and strategic priorities of Gies College of Business. The coordinator plays a key operational role in coordinating and implementing corporate engagement initiatives, coordinating events and meetings, managing communication and data tracking, and facilitating strong internal collaboration between corporate partners and campus stakeholders. This position works closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to advance opportunities related to student employment, experiential learning projects, corporate education, and alumni engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
Corporate Relations Coordination
- Collaborate with the Corporate Relations staff, departments, administration and select corporate partners to grow, develop and maintain relationships with existing partners.
- Coordinate meetings, introductions, and engagement opportunities between corporate representatives and Gies faculty, staff, and leadership.
- Plan and provide logistical support for corporate engagement initiatives and partner activities and execute those strategic plans.
- Implement engagement plans for corporate partners.
- Maintain a database of alumni working with partner organizations and analyze engagement trends, to improve processes.
Data Management and Reporting
- Track corporate partner engagement and communication through CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Maintain accurate records of corporate interactions, participation, and partnership activities.
- Generate reports related to corporate relations activity and outcomes.
- Support corporate partner reporting and find new ways to evaluate the data.
- Enter data into TED and work with OCR, OVCIA, and UIF to ensure collaboration and coordination with companies and associate alumni
Program and Event Coordination
- Coordinate logistics for corporate relations events, including corporate visits, networking events, experiential learning programs, and student career development initiatives.
- Develop internal communications methods to keep student professionals' development and experiential learning teams informed of external activities.
- Assist with planning and execution of corporate partnership events both on and off campus.
- Collaborate with Gies Stewardship and Donor Relations, identify corporate stewardship needs, collect activity, and impact data and content for each corporate partner, manage stewardship plans for existing corporate partners, ensuring recognition and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., development, marketing, career services, Magelli Office) to fulfill partnership deliverables and enhance corporate visibility.
- Track and report on partnership outcomes, performance metrics, and impact stories.
- Collaborate with Advancement Communication, develop proposals to support corporate relations officers in their solicitation activities.
- Partner with alumni relations to create targeted programming for corporate alumni networks, including events, volunteer opportunities, and communication campaigns.
- Travel as required to support corporate engagement activities.
- Coordinate scheduling, materials, and communications for corporate partner meetings and activities.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Assist the Senior Director of Development Operations and the Managing Director of Corporate Engagement with operational aspect of the office.
- Prepare materials, presentations, and briefing documents for corporate partner meetings.
- Support research on prospective corporate partners and industry trends.
- Support the Assistant Director of Corporate Relations in the day-to-day management and execution of the Corporate Partners Program including an annual corporate partner meeting
- Provide general operational support to the Corporate Relations team as needed.
- Attend advancement meetings held by OVCIA and others to support campus advancement and corporate engagement efforts
Internal Collaboration and Communications
- Communicate and strategize with the Corporate Relations Network across campus, as well as internal partners including career services, experiential learning, advancement, and academic departments.
- Assist in coordinating communication to ensure internal stakeholders are informed of corporate partner activity and opportunities.
- Help develop and distribute internal updates regarding corporate relations efforts.
Minimum Qualifications
Specialty Factors
Bachelor's degree. A total of three (3) year (36 months) in education, training and/or work experience in corporate relations, advancement, external partnerships, event/program coordination, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience coordinating events, meetings, or programs involving external stakeholders.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) or similar data tracking tools.
- Experience supporting corporate partnerships or related external engagement activities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships. Ability to travel for meetings and events, as needed. Ability to perform physical activities associated with event setup and execution.
Appointment Information
This is a 100% full-time Civil Service 5002 - Program Coordinator position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search closes. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. The budgeted salary range for this position is $50,000 to $53,000. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
