Coordinator of Transfer Initiatives

Under the supervision of the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, the Coordinator of Transfer Initiatives manages the day-to-day operations of the Transfer Alliance Program, joint admissions partnerships with community colleges, and the Peer Ally mentoring program. This full-time position serves as the central point of coordination across Admissions, Advising, Career Services, Financial Aid, the Registrar, and the academic colleges — with the goal of ensuring transfer students arrive prepared and remain connected and supported through graduation.
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in higher education, communications, business, or a related field.
Additional Considerations:
- At least three years of experience working with transfer-related initiatives in higher education (or similar student support initiatives), or one year of experience plus a master’s degree. (Experience can be full- or part-time.)
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills; experience with Microsoft 365/Teams and basic web content management. Experience developing and maintaining institutional partnerships. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate independently, managing multiple priorities. Demonstrated commitment to equity, access, and inclusion in student support.
- Experience working directly with transfer students, community college populations, and/or first-generation college students. Familiarity with articulation agreements and joint-admissions frameworks.
- Experience onboarding and supervising student employees; proficiency with JobHawk or similar platforms.
- Experience with student communications including email campaigns and social media coordination.
- Experience making basic website content updates.

This position is a full-time, benefited SEIU union position in Grade P16. Anticipated salary, based on qualifications and commensurate with the range minimum: $59,674, 25th quartile of $67,879 and midpoint of $76,085.
