Fixed term (until 24/11/2026), full time position, primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus.

Join the Student Wellbeing and Accessibility team. A multi-disciplinary, open and welcoming group, who are passionate about supporting and enhancing Griffith University and its students. The team offers students, and staff, a range of support services including counselling, chaplaincy, student safety, health services and disability and accessibility. 

Job Description

In this professional role, use your skills and experience to drive meaningful change, here’s how you’ll make it matter:

  • Provide professional counselling in response to personal concerns affecting student study and life.
  • In this short term, solution focused support, assist students to get back on track so have the best chance of success in both their personal and academic life.
  • Liaise with other staff and stakeholders within the team and department, as well as across the wider University
  • Become involved in a range of initiatives, including workshops and campaigns.
  • You will be engaging with students face to face or by telehealth and will have the use of a university vehicle to travel between campuses when required.

You will also have:

  • A four-year degree or equivalent in Psychology, Social Work or other relevant area.
  • A Blue Card, Queensland’s working with children check, is required for this position if the occupant is not a registered health practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Professional registration where applicable, and/or eligibility for membership of relevant professional associations.

What we can offer

This is a fixed term (until 24/11/2026), full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Gold Coast campus. There is an option to work from home 1-2 days per week. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.

Salary Range

Base Salary Hew 8 in the range of $113,713 - $127,923 per annum plus 17% Superannuation. The salary including superannuation is in the range $133,044 -$149,670 per annum.
