Red Crow Community College is a First Nations college with locations in Standoff and Lethbridge. Our mission is to meet the cultural, educational, and training needs for Kainaiwa and beyond. The college provides leadership through its programs and service to nurture self-realization based on Kainayssinni.

We are currently seeking a Counsellor for our Post-Secondary Support Program. The Counsellor directly reports to the Student Services Manager and will ensure students maximize their potential to succeed through their educational journey by offering learning, mental health and financial support. The candidate will develop relationships with external agencies, the community and participate in organizational activities. In addition, the Counsellor will maintain confidentiality by adhering to FOIP principles and provide meaningful interactions with students.

The incumbent requires a Masters degree in Counselling, Social Work, Education or related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years experience in an adult education setting. They have demonstrated proficiency in technological skills and communicate in speech and writing. They are personable, compassionate, helpful and can work effectively in a team environment. The Counsellor will deliver services with respect and understanding of Blackfoot culture and participate in activities that promote Kainayssinni.

This is a full-time position at our Standoff campus. The start date is January 15, 2025 and offers a competitive salary with benefits.
