Counselor, Access Programs, Part-time Adjunct Pool

Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. The starting salary range is $60.00/hour.

Representative Duties

Adjunct counselors for Access programs provide dedicated support to students who participate in DSPS, EOPS, CARE, NextUp, and/or CalWORKS. Services are individualized based on the needs of the students. In addition to program-specific support, the adjunct counselor will provide non-instructional activities in academic advising, career guidance, and education and transfer planning.

Minimum Qualifications

Must meet minimum qualifications for both EOPS and DSPS as defined in the posting (Master's degree requirements plus specific units/experience in ethnic minorities, disabilities, or related fields). Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse backgrounds required. OR the equivalent.
