Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
The Counselor/Therapist provides comprehensive mental health services to a diverse population of university students within Student Psychological Counseling Services ( SPCS ). Working under the general supervision of the Director of SPCS, the Counselor/Therapist provides assessment, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, triage and urgent care, case management, consultation, and referral services for students presenting with a broad range of mental health, developmental, academic, and social concerns. The Counselor/Therapist works collaboratively with counseling center colleagues, medical and psychiatric providers, and other campus partners to support student well-being and continuity of care. The position also contributes to outreach, prevention and educational programming, consultation with faculty and staff, and other initiatives designed to promote student mental health and strengthen the university community.
