The Machine Learning Department (MLD) at Carnegie Mellon University is a leading hub for research and education in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
We are searching for a Course Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to each of the EAs (4-5) and the courses they manage.
Core Responsibilities
- Course exam seating charts (after hours)
- Course printing (on campus)
- Course scanning, sort, and re-staple (after hours/on campus)
- Exam day prep (on campus)
- Grading sessions (on campus)
- Exam storage (on campus)
- Catering (on campus)
- Poster sessions (on campus)
- Book meeting rooms
- Exam viewing sessions (on campus)
- Document and improve processes
- Course microphones (on campus)
- Course staff purchasing
- Swag
- Course technology purchasing and management
- SCS Facilities
- Other items as necessary
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in administrative support, office management, and data entry.
- Effective interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.
- Experience in higher education preferred
