The Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary invites applications for a CRC Tier 1 Professor in Computer Science position at either the rank of associate professor (with Tenure) or full professor (with Tenure) level with a focus on Applied Cybersecurity and Privacy.

Applicants must have a PhD (or equivalent) and be either at the rank of full professor or at the associate professor level nearing eligibility for promotion to full professor in the field of Computer Science or a closely-related field.

Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor requires evidence of an established academic program... Appointment at the rank of Full Professor is reserved for those whose academic achievements...

Preference will be given to candidates who are involved in: Addressing challenges faced by our critical infrastructure... Undertaking novel ways to create privacy-enhancing technologies... Applying novel secure software development processes... Deploying cybersafe systems...

Particular areas of expertise include: Systems security, Software security, Digital forensics, Network security, Critical infrastructure protection, Military and policing environments, Penetration testing / ethical hacking.

The position provides 60% protected time for research... contribute to teaching and graduate student supervision... Service to the Department, Faculty, University, and community...
