CRM Data Services Specialist, Advancement Data and Analytics
SUMMARY:
The CRM Data Services Specialist, Advancement Data and Analytics, has primary responsibility for the process of maintaining and reporting from the constituent database. This includes developing queries and data processing steps; managing data requests; maintaining and improving data; troubleshooting ArachNet (Blackbaud CRM); and providing support for users of the system. This position serves as the central point of contact for Advancement list requests and data updates from across the University. The CRM Data Services Specialist will interface with other areas of campus (Annual Giving, Alumni Engagement, Career Services, Athletics, Admission, etc.) as well as the alumni/donor constituent base.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Full-time, non-exempt position
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment with hybrid schedule options. No or very limited physical effort required. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
- Position may require some nights, weekends, and/or holidays for Advancement-related events (Homecoming, Reunion, Family Weekend, etc.) and/or high-volume gift processing times (fiscal year end, calendar year end, Giving Day).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of principles of relational databases (e.g. Blackbaud CRM, Slate).
- Preferred experience with integration platforms or middleware (e.g. Zuri Group - Velocity, BrightVine Data Link, Omatic)
- Skill in analyzing and organizing data and producing consistently thorough and accurate outputs.
- Proficient in Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and add-ins. MS Office, Office 365 including Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Blackbaud CRM and Zuri Group-Velocity preferred.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data issues independently.
- Self-motivated and resourceful, able to learn new systems and processes.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements while consistently performing quality assurance checks.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2 - 4 years of data management experience, preferably in nonprofit, higher education, or an independent school.
- Experience with Blackbaud CRM or other similar relational databases
WORK HOURS:
Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week
SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade 5 ($21.09/hr. - $27.95/hr.)
