"Custodial Worker"

The Custodial Worker serves as a vital member of the custodial team, performing routine cleaning and maintenance duties across various campus buildings. Under the general supervision of the Custodial Supervisor, this role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain floors, furniture, fixtures, and entrance door glass
• Dispose of trash and recyclables appropriately
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas including restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common spaces
• Follow safety protocols and handle hazardous materials as needed
• Perform duties in various weather conditions and environments

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing, walking, and gripping
• Frequent kneeling, stooping, crouching, squatting, and reaching
• Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying (3050 pounds)
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around hazardous materials
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid drivers license
• Successful completion of a background check

Preferred:

• Knowledge of safety practices in custodial work
• Experience operating cleaning equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
