Job Summary

This position is responsible for the custodial maintenance of campus buildings and facilities. This position is designated by the College as Essential Personnel. Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

1. Cleans buildings, classrooms, restrooms and drinking fountains.
2. Dusts and cleans chalk boards and offices and flat surfaces; washes windows, walls, glass doors, and classroom equipment; may work from a ladder; polishes brass
3. Collects and empties trash.
4. Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips, and waxes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets
5. Reports damaged structures and equipment; maintains entranceways to buildings.
6. Moves office furniture and equipment; assists in setting up facilities for special events.
7. Performs related work as required.

Required Qualifications

Must be able to report to work on time and be dependable in attendance. Must possess a current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug testing.

Preferred Qualifications

Some custodial experience is preferred; experience with commercial floor care equipment is desirable.
