Salary Schedule: Appropriate placement on Salary Schedule E5 05 ($34,298 - $51,793) based on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Emphasis on sweeping, mopping, and the ability to strip, wax, and buff floors.
- Vacuum and spot-clean carpets.
- Maintain outside walk areas, including sweeping debris and washing walkways; pick up debris 25 feet from the perimeter of the buildings
- Keep buildings and assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.
- Empty and clean waste receptacles; dispose of trash appropriately.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms to include commodes, urinals, sinks, walls, mirrors, fixtures, floors, doors, and receptacles.
- Stock and maintain supplies in restrooms and other assigned areas, as appropriate.
- Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
- Clean and sanitize all contact surfaces.
- Dust and clean window blinds.
- Clean doors, grates, kickplates, and partitions.
- Dust and clean display and bulletin boards.
- Follow procedures and directions for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; perform routine maintenance on custodial equipment and supplies.
- Notify the Facilities Department of items that need maintenance and repair.
- Assist with set-up and facility preparation for special meetings or events, including moving/arranging furniture and equipment.
- Perform other duties assigned by the administration.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION, STANDARDS, AND TRAINING: High school diploma or GED - One year of documented custodial and/or floor technician experience may substitute for the education requirement. Valid Driver’s License
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and understand English - Ability to use equipment necessary to strip and wax floors. Knowledge of chemicals and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Act and Hazardous Communications regarding worker safety and use of chemicals
