Overview

Dalhousie University's Doctor of Philosophy in Classics programme will offer you the chance to dive into ancient history, literature, philosophy, and art. Specialize in Greek and Roman studies, including ancient philosophy, and delve into unique late-antique and medieval topics. Alternatively, students may opt to explore Classical culture and its legacy in several other areas of interest distinctively cultivated by members of the Classics faculty, along with colleagues in Religious Studies and Arabic programmes.

Thesis: Pursue independent and original research guided by a supervisor to develop and defend your thesis.

Thesis-based master's degree or its equivalent.
Minimum grade point average of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study.
Degree granted by a university of recognized standing.
