DANCAP Chair in Corporate Governance
Western University invites applications for the DANCAP Chair in Corporate Governance, a full-time endowed position jointly held between the DAN Department of Management and Organizational Studies and the Faculty of Law. This Chair is made possible through the generous support of the Dancap Private Equity Group, with the goal of advancing research and teaching in corporate governance.
We are seeking a scholar with a strong research record and a demonstrated or emerging international reputation in corporate governance. Applicants will be considered for a tenured appointment at the rank of Professor (preferred) or Associate Professor, based on qualifications and experience at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will hold the DANCAP Chair for a renewable five-year term, with the appointment equally divided between the DAN Department and the Faculty of Law.

Applicants must hold a PhD in a relevant field and demonstrate scholarly excellence, including publications in leading refereed journals. Candidates with strong empirical and analytical expertise are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Maintain an active and high-impact research program;
- Compete successfully for external research funding;
- Teach corporate governance and related courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate level;
- Contribute to curriculum and program development; and
- Provide leadership in corporate governance initiatives across both academic units.
Rank and compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The preferred start date is July 1, 2026, though this is negotiable.

- evidence of teaching performance;
- up to three sample publications the candidate regards as representative of their research; and
- names of three academic references.
