Job Summary
The Wisconsin Reading Center (WRC) seeks a collaborative individual to assist in preparing images for ophthalmology reading. The incumbent will be preparing digital ocular scans by converting format in software and running a segmentation software algorithm. Manual correction of segmentation lines in the images. This position does not involve coding or programming responsibilities.
- This position has the possibility to be extended or converted to an ongoing appointment based on need and/or funding.
- It is anticipated that this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location. It is required that employees come into Madison, WI, quarterly on preset dates for onsite meetings and collaboration.
- The work schedule is flexible and will be determined at the time of hire.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Review and examine the segmentation lines for accuracy and make appropriate corrections for completeness. Optimize images for analysis. Uses proprietary software to view and analyze metadata, images, and documentation.
- Enters information into systems or national database
- Maintains awareness of and ensures adherence to university standards regarding privacy
- Prepares and sorts documents for data entry
