The university is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Business Administration.

Position Purpose

The Dean of the College of Business Administration is the chief academic and administrative officer for the college. This role provides visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to advance the college’s mission in teaching, research, and community engagement. The Dean is responsible for fostering academic excellence, promoting faculty and student success, and ensuring the college’s programs align with the university’s goals and the evolving needs of the UAE and global business environment.

In this capacity, the CBA Dean will cultivate strong partnerships with industry leaders, creating opportunities for collaboration that enhance both academic programs and student engagement. The Dean’s leadership will be instrumental in fostering an environment that promotes academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration, ensuring that the CBA initiatives align seamlessly with the broader strategic goals of the university.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the college in alignment with the university’s mission and vision.
  • Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of undergraduate and graduate business programs.
  • Ensure academic standards and accreditation requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative teaching methods.

Faculty and Staff Management

  • Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Support faculty development in teaching, research, and professional service.
  • Encourage scholarly research, publications, and participation in academic conferences.

Student Success

  • Promote student recruitment, retention, and graduation initiatives.
  • Oversee academic advising, career services, and experiential learning opportunities such as internships and study abroad programs.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for student engagement and achievement.

Administrative and Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage the college’s budget and resources efficiently.
  • Oversee facilities, technology, and support services to meet academic and operational needs.
  • Lead fundraising, grant acquisition, and partnership development efforts.

External Relations and Community Engagement

  • Build partnerships with business, government, and community organizations to enhance opportunities for students and faculty.
  • Represent the college at university, local, national, and international events.
  • Advocate for the college’s interests within the university and with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Doctorate (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited institution. Holds a rank of full professor.
  • Experience: Substantial academic leadership experience, preferably as a dean, associate dean, or department chair in a business school or college.
  • Academic Record: Distinguished record of teaching, research, and service appropriate for a senior faculty appointment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, personnel, and complex projects. Effective communicator and consensus builder. Commitment to innovation, diversity, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with international accreditation bodies (e.g., AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA).
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain industry and community partnerships.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarity with the higher education landscape in the United Arab Emirates or the Gulf region.

Organizational Relationships

Serves as a member of the university’s academic leadership team. Collaborates with other deans, department chairs, and administrative offices. Engages with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners to advance the college’s mission.
