"Dean of Students and Alumni Relations"

Dar Al-Hekma University is seeking a dynamic and visionary Dean of Students and Alumni Relations.

This leadership role will guide the strategic development and management of services that enhance the student experience and foster lifelong alumni engagement.

The Dean will oversee student affairs, support services, and alumni relations to strengthen the university’s community and graduate network.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for student development, engagement, and alumni outreach.
• Supervise and support units such as: Student Affairs, Student Activities, Career Services, Counseling Services, Alumni Relations
• Lead initiatives to assess and enhance the student experience through surveys and feedback mechanisms.
• Coordinate student orientation, leadership programs, and extracurricular activities to promote holistic growth.
• Ensure up-to-date and consistently applied student-related policies and codes of conduct.
• Address student concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues fairly and professionally.
• Design programs to increase alumni loyalty, engagement, and philanthropic support.
• Organize alumni events, networking forums, and mentorship programs.
• Collaborate with academic leadership to align student services with learning outcomes.
• Monitor student retention, engagement, and alumni impact as part of institutional effectiveness.
• Lead communication strategies for students and alumni, including digital outreach and campaigns.
• Manage departmental budgets, staffing, and operational planning.
• Represent the university at events and external forums related to student and alumni affairs.
• Promote diversity, inclusion, and well-being through campus-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in higher education.
• Proven success in managing student affairs, alumni relations, or similar functions.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
