Dean of the College of Education
Northern Arizona University seeks a Dean of the College of Education. The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the College and reports to the Executive Vice President & Provost. Key priorities include promoting exceptional outcomes for students, broadening educational access, recruiting and retaining talented faculty and staff, cultivating inclusive excellence, and managing resources effectively. Responsibilities include vision and planning, communications, financial planning, departmental administration, personnel management, academic program leadership, research and public service leadership, fundraising and outreach, college governance, and fostering inclusive excellence.
Opportunities for leadership include advancing a strategic vision, catalyzing collaboration, expanding access and supporting student success, fostering a culture of inclusive excellence, recruiting faculty and staff, facilitating research, and strengthening fundraising and external visibility.
Qualifications require an earned doctorate, a distinguished record warranting a tenured appointment as Full Professor, and successful administrative experience. Preferred qualifications include experience in managing complex units, securing funding, advocacy, collaboration, fundraising, program review, and communication skills.
