Deputy Director

Student Partnerships in Quality Scotland (SPARQS) is seeking a Deputy Director. The salary is £48,485 to £53,038. This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours a week) based in Edinburgh with hybrid working available, requiring at least 2 days a week in the office. Other flexible working requests will be considered.

sparqs is a charity funded by the Scottish Funding Council to work with Scotland's university and college sectors. Our mission is to foster a culture of partnership between students and staff to enable the Scottish education sector to respond to challenges and realize its ambitions for providing the best possible experience for each and every student.

In this newly created post, you will provide leadership across various projects, including the development of student partnership within a new tertiary quality enhancement framework, embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion in learning and teaching, and supporting effective learner journeys.

You will have a commitment to championing the role of students in delivering improvements to college and university life, along with proven skills in developing effective project and operational plans, managing relationships with stakeholders, strong team leadership, and effective political judgement. You will demonstrate the ability to lead in a values-based organization, working alongside the Director to ensure sparqs continues to innovate and achieve ambitious goals.
