As the Deputy Faculty Manager, you’ll work closely with the Faculty Manager, Executive Dean and Faculty Leadership Team to ensure smooth, aligned, and forward-thinking operations across the faculty. You will:
- Champion faculty operations, ensuring infrastructure, services, and support functions enable world-class teaching, research, and engagement.
- Partner in strategy and planning, using data and insights to inform decision-making and track performance.
- Provide financial leadership, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and building financial capability across the faculty.
- Lead key projects, guiding planning, implementation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support and optimise Technical Services, ensuring capabilities, equipment, and facilities meet the needs of academic and research activities.
- Strengthen external engagement, supporting industry interactions, advisory boards, and marketing initiatives.
- Lead and develop people, coaching administrative staff and fostering a culture grounded in UC’s values.
- Champion health, safety and wellbeing, embedding best practice across faculty operations.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have significant experience (10+ years) in operational management within a large and complex environment, as well as have:
- Strong people leadership capability—able to motivate, coach, and influence across diverse teams
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the diplomacy to navigate challenges constructively
- Proven experience in project and change management, with the ability to lead improvement initiatives
- Strong financial acumen and confidence working with budgets and forecasting
- Advanced general IT competency (Excel, Word, Teams/SharePoint)
