Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor UFT (Echocardiography) Field 500023
St. Cloud Technical Community College (SCTCC) is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor (Unlimited Full-Time) with a specialization in Echocardiography. This position will support the launch and development of a new Diagnostic Medical Sonography program within the Health Sciences division. This position represents SCTCC’s commitment to serving its community by partnering and investing in students as they attain the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to serve the Saint Cloud and surrounding communities. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a commitment to creating a culturally responsive curriculum and environment where students from our diverse community will thrive. This position is a full-time position teaching from approximately mid-August through mid-May. This position is on-site and class times vary but are typically held Monday through Friday. The successful candidate shall collaborate with the program dean to determine the final schedule.
Primary Responsibilities:
- oversee the structure and daily operation of the echocardiography program;
- provide instruction, evaluation of students, documentation of progress, and periodic review of course content;
- provide clinical instruction and document the evaluation and progression of clinical performance leading to clinical competence;
- be responsible for coordinating and evaluating students’ clinical internship.
- Facilitate student learning in both classroom and lab settings.
- Collaborate with colleagues and students, to cultivate an inclusive, equitable, and culturally responsive learning environment.
- Design and revise the curriculum to meet the needs of ever-changing Echocardiography industry trends.

- Collaborate with faculty colleagues to build and maintain local industry partnerships.
Salary Range: Salary and benefits will be based on the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Salary min: $44,144 / Salary max: $73,690 Annually (Column max: $96,905)
Minimum Qualifications
Education Requirement
Associate degree in sonography.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid clinical work experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
Recency Requirement
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Professional Requirement
National certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

** This course shall be waived for individuals who, at the time of hire, have documented evidence of successful completion of equivalent coursework.
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in sonography or related.
Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid clinical work experience as a registered adult cardiac sonographer in the professional sonography field.
Registry credentials by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in the discipline being taught
experience in evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques experience in supervision, instruction;
