Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for formulating, documenting and implementing nutrition care plans for Patients seen in assigned clinic. Duties include conducting and documenting assessments, reassessments, consults and provide nutrition education for Patients and Families. Participates in process improvement and special projects. Coordinates resources throughout the HealthSystem and assist in the evaluation of services provided to ensure that requirements are met.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
- Willingness and availability to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed or requested
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum two years' experience as a R.D. in a healthcare/clinical environment beyond the completion of the American Dietetic Association internship
- Master of Science in nutrition & dietetics with registered dietitian eligibility established on or after January 1, 2024, or Bachelor of Science in nutrition & dietetics with registered dietitian eligibility established prior to January 1, 2024
- Licensed Registered Dietitian in the state of California
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated understanding of therapeutic and normal nutrition, with the ability to develop care plans for patients
- Completed American Dietetic Association internship
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in nutrition & dietetics for registered dietitian eligibility established prior to January 1, 2024
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Advanced certification of CNSD, CDE, or CSP
