Digital Research Support Officer (Research Data Consultant)
Full time, continuing position. Located on the Camperdown Campus

Base Salary $112,628 - $122,702 (HEO7) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
As the Digital Research Support Officer (Research Data Consultant), you will work closely with key University stakeholders and the greater research community to provide expert research data support services.
Through providing digital tool advice, services and training you will play a key role in improving research data management practices and enhancing the research productivity of academic staff and research students.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- work within a dynamic team, reporting to the Research Data Governance Manager and Research Data Consulting Lead
- engage with researchers individually to deliver appropriate, targeted support and bespoke solutions by email, and via online and in-person consultations
- promote and facilitate the adoption of the University's licensed digital tools and platforms by researchers across the University
- proactively liaise with research and technical professionals and the academic community to ensure maintenance of data standards
- deliver training, webinars, and information sessions to researchers from a variety of research disciplines
- contribute to national initiatives, forums and workshops on management of research data, including presenting to diverse audiences
About you

- a bachelor's degree in a relevant field along with post graduate research qualifications and/or substantial research experience, PhD preferred
- a high level of digital literacy and proven ability to analyse user requirements and translate these into training resources and solutions
- demonstrated training and presentation skills in a university environment, and the ability to create relevant and engaging presentations
- a proven ability to provide a high level of customer service to a wide range of clients
- strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships
- knowledge and understanding of university systems and platforms such as REDCap desirable.
Work Rights
