Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Dining Services Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial food service equipment used in University dining facilities. This position ensures all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards to support uninterrupted dining operations.
Preferred Years Experience,Skills, Training , Education:
- Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related field
- EPA Refrigeration Certification
- Experience in higher education, healthcare, or large-scale food service operations
- Knowledge of health department regulations and food safety standards
