Director, Football Operations / Equipment Manager
Essential Job Functions
- Direct all day-to-day football operations under the supervision
of the Head Football Coach.
Assist the Head Coach with coordinating team travel
Develop travel itineraries for home and away contests.
Coordinate preseason camp logistics and daily practice
operations.
Coordinate meeting schedules and team operational
calendars.
Oversee football facility scheduling and operational
readiness.
Assist with recruiting visit logistics in collaboration with
coaching staff.
Serve as liaison with other necessary university
departments.
Coordinate team meals and nutritional support for camps &
competition.
Maintain operational records and reports.
Direct all football equipment operations.
Ensure proper fitting of helmets, shoulder pads, and protective
equipment.
Maintain accurate inventory of all football equipment,
uniforms, and apparel.
Coordinate purchasing of football equipment and supplies.
Maintain inventory control systems.
Oversee laundering, maintenance, repair, and replacement of
uniforms and equipment.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer’s safety standards and NCAA
equipment regulations.
Coordinate equipment transportation for practices and
competitions.
Other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree
Master’s degree preferred
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years related experience
Licenses/Certifications

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of NCAA Division I, SWAC, and University policies and
procedures.
Knowledge of football equipment fitting maintenance, inventory
control, and safety standards.
Knowledge of athletic operations and game management.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, inventory management
software, and equipment tracking systems.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict
deadlines.
Ability to supervise student managers and temporary staff.
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Strong budgeting and purchasing skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive travel
schedules.
Ability to establish positive working relationships with coaches,
student-athletes, vendors, officials, and campus departments.
Ability to lift, transport, and organize athletic equipment.
