Position Summary:
Brewton-Parker Christian University seeks a full-time Director of Field and Clinical Experiences who will also serve as an Assistant/Associate Professor of Education to begin August 1, 2026. This position involves teaching a diverse range of undergraduate and possibly graduate courses within our Education Department. Faculty at BPCU are expected to integrate a biblical worldview into teaching and to mentor students in both scholarship and faith development.
This individual will provide leadership and oversight for all clinical and field experiences across undergraduate education programs, ensuring alignment with Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) requirements and the Educator Preparation Provider’s (EPP) mission. This successful candidate will teach undergraduate and potentially graduate courses in education, coordinate and supervise field placements, and build strong partnerships with P–12 schools to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned clinical experiences for teacher candidates. This position requires travel to area schools regularly as part of our partnership model – travel reimbursement is available.
Qualifications:
Required
- Ed.S degree in Education or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the required teaching field or demonstrated equivalent experience, in accordance with SACSCOC credentialing standards.
- Active Christian faith and willingness to integrate biblical perspectives into instruction.
Preferred
- Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Education (Teacher Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field)
- Experienced secondary educator with a thorough understanding of effective instructional practices, strong organizational skills, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships with candidates, faculty, and P–12 partners.
