Director of Finance [Ref. R/295/25]
Duties
The Director of Finance will take the lead in the formulation and development of the overall financial policies and practices. S/he is expected to provide leadership and overall direction of accounting services, financial management, budget and capital planning, compliance, procurement and contract services, payroll, pension scheme administration, treasury, and investment management. As a member of the University’s senior management team, the appointee will provide strategic professional advice on financial management, ensuring effective financial facilities in support of the University’s development and new initiatives.
Requirements
A visionary and seasoned finance professional with a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Management, or a related field, with relevant professional accounting qualification and substantial financial management and administrative experience at a senior level, preferably in higher education or related sectors. The candidate must have strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with good business acumen and high motivation to achieve the set goals; as well as demonstrated leadership with sound judgement and high integrity.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
