Job Title: Director of Financial AssistanceGENERAL SUMMARY: Member of the Enrollment Management leadership team responsible for the effective administration of all financial aid programs and policies for CMU students. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position located on the Fayette, MO campus.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct and manage student financial aid operations and programs
- Maintain institutional compliance for Title IV programs
- Assure proper counsel and advice to students and their families about financial aid opportunities
Oversee the maintenance and integrity of information on the financial aid web pageEnsure CMU programs and operations are administered in compliance with federal, state and institutional guidelinesHire, train, and supervise student financial assistance staffKeep abreast of financial aid trends, technologies and best practicesWork collaboratively with appropriate University personnel to review financial processes and improvements to gain efficiencies and maximize service to studentsPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree-Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree-Required; Accounting degree preferred
- Supervisor experience - Preferred
- 3-5 years of financial aid or higher education administrative experience - Preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Prison Education Programs - Preferred
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: General knowledge of accounting principles and methods, data processing systems and computer software.
OTHER INFORMATION AND ATTRIBUTES: Typical office setting. Occasional weekend or evenings for special student events.
