As Director of Global Partnerships, you will lead the development and delivery of our international academic collaborations. You’ll oversee the full partnership lifecycle—from identifying opportunities to long-term account management—ensuring alignment with institutional goals and delivering financial and reputational value. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the university’s global partnerships strategy.
  • Identify and develop new international academic collaborations.
  • Expand transnational education and foundation pathways.
  • Manage partner acquisition, due diligence, and onboarding.
  • Provide strategic account management for existing partnerships.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of business developers and account managers.
  • Ensure partnerships meet income, recruitment, and strategic targets.
  • Represent the university externally to enhance global visibility.
  • Ensure compliance and quality assurance across all international activities.

About You

  • Proven senior-level experience in global partnerships within UK higher education.
  • A track record of developing large-scale transnational education programmes.
  • Expertise in managing the full lifecycle of international partnerships.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to grow income and margin.
  • Deep understanding of global mobility trends and regulatory contexts.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in team leadership and strategic collaboration.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in both online and in-person global education formats.
  • Fluency in a language relevant to our priority regions.
  • International work or study experience.
