Director of Operations, Athletics Track & Field / Cross Country
Job Overview
The Men’s & Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country program at the University of Cincinnati (UC), Department of Athletics seeks applications for a Director of Operations (Sports Program Associate). This is a full-time position, salaried, with a comprehensive benefits package.
The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach with the administration of a highly competitive Division I Track & Field program in the Big 12 conference. Responsibilities include but are not limited to organizing team events, coordinating all aspects of team travel, processing expense reports, tracking/reporting budget, distributing per diem, assisting with home meet management, assisting in on and off campus recruiting activities, overseeing interns and team managers, and organizing the team banquet.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for all aspects of any of the following functions within a sport program:
- Business Operations (direct the operational and logistics function of the program)
- Administrative Associate (provide direct administrative support and coordination to the coaching staff and support personnel)
- Identify program needs and implement program improvements.
- Collaborate with staff to perform administrative tasks in line with program and departmental goals.
- Serve as ambassador of the program and look for opportunities to connect the program to the community and business partners.
- Will be required to drive a university vehicle and/or student-athletes.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
