Job Description
The Director of Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight of the daily operation and infrastructure of the Lincoln Memorial University-College of Veterinary Medicine at Orange Park (LMU-OPCVM). This position promotes efficient and effective management of facilities, resources, and processes across OPCVMs multi-site network. Communicates with relevant University entities to support OPCVM facilities. The Director supports long-range planning, manages compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements, and advances operational systems that align with the Colleges mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Higher Education, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, facilities, or project management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, medical, or veterinary education environments
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and compliance reporting
- Demonstrated success in multi-site or distributed operations management

Job Duties
- Direct and coordinate operations across OPCVM facilities, including space management, logistics, and resource allocation
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that strengthen operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Partner with LMU Administration, Facilities Planning and Management, Information Services, and external contractors to support timely project delivery
- Serve as a resource for staff in resolving operational challenges
- Support development and maintenance of preclinical, clinical, and research facilities to sustain program effectiveness
- Manage contracts and vendor relationships related to facilities and operations
- Collaborate with LMU Campus Security to implement emergency procedures and maintain building security
- Maintain records for Annual Security and Fire Safety Reports
- Monitor operational budgets and prepare reports for institutional planning and accreditation compliance
- Identify and apply cost-effective strategies and process improvements
- Handle sensitive information, including contracts, financial data, compliance reports, and accreditation records, with discretion
- Maintain confidentiality in all record keeping and communications
- Exercise sound judgment in managing restricted or sensitive information in alignment with University policies and applicable regulations
- Plan and execute events, meetings, and conferences hosted by the College
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and equipment setup
- Prepare and distribute materials for events and meetings
- Provide University-level coordination related to event policies, procedures, and compliance, including documentation for risk management, liability, and insurance requirements
- Monitor changes to University event policies and adjust OPCVM processes to remain compliant with evolving standards
- Represent OPCVM on University committees as appropriate
- Provide operational leadership for special projects and initiatives assigned by the Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences
- Compile data and prepare reports required for institutional and program accreditation, as well as other reports that support advancement of University programs
- Perform related duties in support of the College s and University s mission and evolving needs
