About The Role
Join QA Higher Education as a Disability Support Advisor!
- Birmingham Campus
- 3 days per week on campus
- Occasional evening cover (up to 7pm)
- Occasional Saturday cover
About the Role
Are you passionate about inclusive education and supporting students with additional learning needs? QA Higher Education is looking for a dedicated Disability Support Advisor to join our Welfare team and help create a supportive, accessible environment where every learner can thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Meet with students to discuss reasonable adjustments and coordinate next steps
- Support learners in using assistive technology and help develop our Assistive Technology suite
- Assist students with Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) applications
- Collaborate with faculties to promote inclusive learning and teaching
- Contribute to new initiatives that enhance support for students with additional learning needs
- Provide monthly reports on disability provision and budget usage
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries within 48 hours
- Work closely with Registry, Student Services, Academics, Admissions, and more
About You
- Excellent communicator and networker
- Organised, self‑motivated, and detail oriented
- Problem‑solver who thrives on initiative
- Experience supporting disabled students or individuals with complex needs
- Familiarity with the Equality Act 2010 and SEND Code of Practice
- Knowledge of assistive technologies (e.g., mind‑mapping software)
- Experience in Higher Education (desirable)
- Level 7 qualification in Learning Difficulties & Disabilities or equivalent (desirable)
