OVERVIEW & HIGHLIGHTS

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District is seeking a qualified individual as a District Accounting Analyst. The incumbent is responsible for responding to complex accounting issues; developing and implementing recommendations for process improvement; maintaining efficient workflow within the accounting department through regulatory compliance reviews; reviewing and optimizing systems; and supporting internal audit functions to ensure District compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, codes, and accounting standards. AT-A-GLANCE POSITION INFORMATION:

This recruitment will establish an eligibility list valid for 6 months and will be used to fill current and future vacancies.

Type of position: Full-Time - Monday - Friday

Salary: Range CL-45 $37.33 - $46.68 Hourly $6,470 - $8,091 Monthly (based on 40 hours per week)

Initial Salary Placement: New employees start at Step A ($37.33 per hour) or B ($39.47 per hour) on the salary schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Any combination equivalent to:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting or business administration, AND two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting and maintaining financial records.

Accounting experience specializing in higher education is preferred.
