Offer Description
The DREAM doctoral program promotes Musical Artistic Research, in which artistic and techno-scientific expertise coexist within the same individual (the musician) or group. It fosters a close, productive dialogue between the direct creative experience of music and research into music, while also embracing sound art and the performing arts. Through a methodological and critical approach, the program advocates a transdisciplinary perspective on musical practice, techno-scientific research, musicological inquiry, and cultural studies regarding sound-based communication (sound studies, voice studies, etc.).
