Join UQ’s Strategic Partnerships Office in a pivotal role shaping the growth of Australia’s quantum ecosystem. As the Ecosystem Development Manager of the Quantum Australia Qld Node, you will lead engagement initiatives that connect industry, government, startups, and researchers, elevating Queensland’s presence in a rapidly advancing national landscape.

Working closely with counterparts across the country, you will design and deliver high-impact programs and events, strengthen stakeholder networks, and generate insights that drive visibility, collaboration, and momentum across the quantum community. Key responsibilities will include

  • Lead the development and delivery of engagement programs, events, and initiatives that grow participation in Queensland’s and Australia’s quantum ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain a broad network of industry, government, startup, and research stakeholders, acting as a trusted connector across the community.
  • Capture and analyse metrics, insights, and stories to enhance visibility, support national reporting, and contribute to coordinated marketing and communications activities.
  • Provide governance, reporting, and operational support for the QLD Node, including financial analysis, data coordination, and contribution to strategic and compliance processes.

About You

  • Equipped with a relevant degree or equivalent combination of experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder projects or programs.
  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders, keeping a community-focused and client-centred approach.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track milestones, and deliver on time.
  • Adept at planning, delivering, and evaluating marketing, communications, and engagement activities, including forums, workshops, and collaborative events.
  • Experienced in designing and improving administrative and operational systems, including developing procedures for project and financial tracking and reporting.
  • Proficient in using databases and CRM systems to manage information and support project delivery.
  • Proactive and capable in coordinating complex projects, managing multiple issues simultaneously, and ensuring outcomes are achieved.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
