Job Summary
Serves as primary administrative contact for students and faculty leaders participating in education abroad programs. Manages a variety of international program models focusing on program quality and addressing risk management. Develops and conducts informational sessions and recruitment events to promote access to education and experiential learning abroad.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages a portfolio of programs including, but not limited to exchange, affiliate, faculty-led, and/or internship or experiential
- Manages procedures including application, selection, nomination, advising, orientation, and/or registration for outgoing students
- Manages complex and sensitive student situations, using sound judgement to determine appropriate and effective responses
- Advises students, parents, faculty, and academic advisors on study abroad requirements, policies, procedures, deadlines, program options, financial obligations, and logistical planning
- Manages the collection and retention of critical documentation to mitigate institutional risk
- Manages student incidents abroad in collaboration with Education Abroad leadership and International Safety and Security team
- Supports faculty, staff, and departments in preparing budgets, salaries and compensation, and program logistics
- Reviews faculty-led education abroad proposals for compliance with institutional academic, financial, and logistical requirements, and provides detailed recommendations to faculty review committee
- Manages the credit and grade transfers for assigned programs in alignment with program needs
- Delivers presentations and facilitates information sessions, classroom visits, and university events to promote study abroad programs; engages with students, parents, and university personnel to provide program details and support recruitment efforts.
- Provides guidance to campus offices regarding education abroad programs and related policies
- Serves as site manager, support, and/or point of contact on international education programs, as needed
- Supports the assessment, strategic planning, and growth of programs by collecting, analyzing, and reporting key program data
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Required Experience
Two (2) years of related work experience

Multilingual
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Preferred Experience
Experience participating in or leading an international program
Program planning and/or project management experience
Experience in a higher education setting preferred
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary range for this role is $47,000-$51,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.
