Education Assistant Professor
Description
Southern Illinois University School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure track Education Assistant Professor of Physiology at its campus in Carbondale, Illinois to provide teaching undergraduate, graduate, and medical students for three semesters.

The target salary offer for this position at fulltime is $7,333.33 monthly. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
Examples of Duties
- Provide instruction in the areas of general physiology, cardiovascular physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology, and/or male reproductive physiology or related courses to undergraduate students and students in the Lincoln Scholars program in a lecture and laboratory setting, tutor medical students in the first-year medical curricula, and develop physiology courses for graduate/undergraduate students with on-line component for distance learning.
- Duties also include participating in departmental and university committees; attending departmental meetings; and performing other scholarly duties as assigned by the Department.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
The position requires a Ph.D. in Physiology or a closely related field and 1 year of experience as an Instructor, Lecturer, or Assistant Professor in Physiology, Biotechnology, or closely related field.
