Education Specialist
Educational Talent Search (ETS) engages, empowers and supports potential first generation college and under-served scholars who have the desire and potential to pursue an education beyond high school. We provide access to academic, social, and financial resources to over 900 students in the local Lincoln Public Schools (LPS).
Are you passionate about empowering first-generation and low-income students to reach their full potential? Join our team as an Education Specialist and be a driving force in shaping brighter futures for youth in the Lancaster area.
In this dynamic role, you'll work independently within LPS target schools to teach and lead educational programming offering personalized support to help students navigate academics, explore careers, and build financial literacy. You'll host interactive workshops, provide one-on-one advising, and bring supervision to after-school clubs and study halls. You will also hold a significant role in planning and running our vibrant summer programs.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
- Two years of experience working in an academic and/or social setting with low-income students.
- Demonstrated experience designing curriculum and/or workshops students.
- Ability to develop educational programming related to career exploration, financial literacy, and post-secondary preparation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, psychology/counseling, or a related field.
- Previous TRIO experience.
- Experience in an educational setting with middle-school and/or high school students.
- Demonstrated experience with managing and maintaining student records.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with families and educators—including but not limited to parents, community and school leaders, and alumni.
- Competent with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and other instructional software.
