We now have an exciting opportunity for an Educational Designer to join our team of professionals in the Education Design, Quality and Standards Directorate.
- Full-time, continuing role
- Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus
- Academic Level B: $109,791 - $129,547 per annum plus up to 17% superannuation (2.75% increase on 31 December)
- Relocation assistance may be negotiated for the preferred candidate.
WHAT YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH IN THE ROLE
As an Educational Designer at JCU, you will:
- Forge strong relationships with academic stakeholders to co-create inclusive, student-centered learning experiences across various courses and attendance modes.
- Champion inclusive learning by employing the latest pedagogical and technical knowledge to design highly interactive and academically rigorous learning materials.
- Play a pivotal role in advancing our curriculum model, offering expertise in technology enhanced learning.
- Lead professional development initiatives and create educational resources to seamlessly integrate technology into our teaching.
- Elevate the student experience through data-driven approaches that continually enhance our digital learning methods.
- Contribute to the scholarship of learning and teaching, shaping the future of education at our world-leading University.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to have:
- A PhD qualification, or progress toward PhD attainment, and/or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience with learning management systems and e-learning tools in higher education.
- Proven success in designing curriculum for diverse learners with a focus on inclusive learning.
- Advanced project management skills and a track record of curriculum reform and professional development facilitation.
- Evidence of publications or peer-recognised contributions in higher education, especially in assessment and inclusive learning design.
- Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills to foster strong working relationships.
- A demonstrated ability to drive strategic business improvements and enhance stakeholder outcomes.
