  • Full-time 37.5 hours per week (1.0 FTE)

Āu Mahi | What You Will Do Are you passionate about empowering educators through technology? As an Educational Technology Consultant at UC, you'll combine your technical expertise and pedagogical knowledge to support staff in enhancing teaching and learning experiences. From managing our Learning Management System to advising on the use of digital tools and best practices, you'll play a key role in developing flexible, engaging learning environments. You'll work closely with academic staff, ensuring the thoughtful integration of technology to support educational outcomes and elevate the student experience. Mōu | Who You Are You will have 3-4 years' experience supporting learning technologies and recent experience in supporting a Learning Management System: (Moodle or similar), as well as have:

  • experience in coaching and mentoring teachers and/or tertiary lecturers and students in the use of learning technologies
  • critical awareness and knowledge of the potential impact of emerging technologies on flexible delivery practices and skill with learning technologies
  • experience with online teaching and/or on-line learning
  • experience creating robust online resources for technology support
  • experience with project management and/or strategic planning
  • experience with budgeting and procurement processes
  • ability to align support initiatives with an international audience
  • experience managing vendor relationships
  • negotiation skills to ensure outcomes are fully understood and agreed
  • strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • an alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

We empower our learning communities to realise their potential by driving future-focused educational opportunities and innovative learning design. We work with faculty to co-design flexible, hybrid, and online courses and to enhance face-to-face courses with technology tools and applications.
