Electrician Assistant

Position Summary

Located 45 minutes from the Nations Capital, nestled in a history-rich community of southern Maryland, The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a two-time Aspen Award-winning institution (top 15% of Community Colleges) with academic programs in over 100 disciplines. The Electrician Assistant supports the Electrician and Facilities team members that oversee the Colleges facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the installation, repair, assessment, and maintenance of all the electrical components on campus.

Reports to: Facilities Management Field Superintendent

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

80 % Facilities Maintenance and Repairs

• Assist electrician in the day-to-day electrical needs throughout the CSM property.

10% Event Support

5% Administrative Responsibilities

5% Emergency and Inclement Weather

Minimum Education and Training

Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of three years working in the electrical industry. Understanding of the National Electric Code.
