Electronics Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology Instructor

Minnesota State College Southeast seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technology Instructor in our program, dedicated to excellence in teaching, who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives.

Faculty members at Minnesota State College Southeast are professionally active scholars who participate in departmental and campus-wide activities to enhance their disciplines, promote interdisciplinary discourse and collaboration, and advance the college mission. The college is committed to reflecting a diversity of perspectives and backgrounds among its administrators, faculty and staff. The instructor may earn unlimited status upon completion of six successful probationary semesters.

Salary Range: $49,244.00 - $94,542.00

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement: Associate degree in electronics technology.

Occupational Experience Requirement: Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in electronics technology.

Recency Requirement: One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement: Must meet the Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement prior to the end of probation. Click on the link for additional information

Preferred Qualification: Associate Degree (or higher) in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Instrument Technology, or related field. Extensive experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical biomedical equipment. Soldering experience. Computer networking, hardware, and software experience. Previous teaching or mentoring experience

Work Shift: Monday-Friday (may include day, evening, and weekend hours)
