We are currently seeking an Employability Coach who will make a real difference in students’ and graduates’ lives by helping them unlock their potential and navigate their career journeys. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll support confidence-building, skills development, and career readiness through coaching, curriculum engagement, and event delivery—all within the supportive, professionally creative environment of Bath Spa University’s Careers and Employability Team. (This is a full-time role, maternity cover until 11/12/2026)
About the role
As our Employability Coach you will inspire and support our students and recent graduates through one-to-one and group coaching, engaging workshops, and innovative digital resources. You will collaborate with academic schools to embed employability into the curriculum, lead events such as careers fairs, webinars, and employer panels, and use data-driven insights to support underrepresented groups and enhance graduate outcomes.
About you
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification, or significant professional experience.
- Formal qualification in Advice, Guidance or Career Coaching at Level 6 or above
- Experience providing employability-focused one-to-one advice and coaching.
- Experience designing and delivering career education resources, workshops, or learning activities.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and use of digital tools like Target Connect.
- Experience working in or with a Higher Education Careers & Employability service.
- Experience in graduate recruitment or talent acquisition.
- AdvanceHE Fellowship at any level.
- Commercial awareness of student/graduate recruitment and the graduate labour market.
- Ability to analyse and translate data to identify trends in support and engagement, especially for widening participation groups.

- This post may require work into the evenings and at weekends to support on campus events.
- The post holder may be required to travel within the region and to Bath Spa’s London campus as part of this role.
