Continuation is dependent on satisfactory performance, program needs, and renewal of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the primary faculty member and/or lecturer in providing training and/or evaluation of Emergency Medical Service skills which often involves ensuring competencies regarding high stakes/low volume procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a current and valid State of Hawai‘i Mobile Intensive Care Technician (MICT) certificate or Paramedic license and 2 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) field.
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions per lead instructor
- Demonstrated ability to work with adult and non-traditional learners both in-person and online
Desirable Qualifications:
- Work experience related to the course to be taught.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively.
- Familiarity with competency-and outcomes-based instruction
