  • Remuneration: $111,341 to $120,557 pa (HEW6) (inclusive of $94,084 to $101,872 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove
  • Open to: The position is open to current staff members of QUT who have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the fixed-term appointment. Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator to join Learning and Teaching Unit, Education Portfolio, Academic Division.

The Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for increasing the visibility and accessibility of Student Success and Teaching Advancement services and activities to students and staff. A key component of the role is to develop a joined-up approach with other QUT service providers, driving efficiencies and cohesion in service offerings and ensuring that students can readily navigate, and access support services based on a user-centred design. The Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator proactively builds relationships and collaborates with a diverse range of stakeholders across the QUT community including but not limited to Internal Communications and Marketing teams, Events Registration team, Oodgeroo Unit, Student Services and Faculties. This is important in identifying any gaps in student support services and harnessing opportunities for initiatives and service improvements.

The Student Success and Teaching Advancement (SSTA) teams work in partnership with faculties and divisions to deliver a connected and impactful student experience. This is achieved through the provision of university wide learning, careers and retention support services and strategies, and building an engaged community of innovative academic practice and learner focused educational delivery using scholarly and data informed approaches. SSTA is a large section within LTU employing more than 130 academic, professional and sessional staff, and student partners..

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree in a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience, preferably in higher education.
  2. Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and to connect, consult and negotiate with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders to achieve results and resolve issues.
  3. Proven verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to create engaging content and user-centred resources, prepare copy for student and staff audiences, and deliver presentations.
  4. Advanced digital literacy skills including the ability to use corporate systems and MSOffice 365 to create content, tools and protocols and to extract, analyse and present data.  
  5. Proven organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in managing multiple tasks with competing priorities to support a wide range of stakeholders.
  6. Proven ability to contribute as an effective team member in building a culture committed to student success and continuous improvement.
