Engineering Outreach Intern - College of Engineering - Dean's Office

Responsibilities

Work in collaboration with the Director of Engineering Outreach to support K-12 outreach efforts, including timely updates and follow-up on community partner initiatives.
Establish a connection with engineering students interested in outreach.
Continue to help develop trust-based relationships with communities within Pittsburgh that have been historically marginalized.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

K-12 experience required.
Experience in STEM field is required.
Knowledge and experience developing/implementing outreach programming is required
Collaborative professional with experience working on college campuses in academic and/or K-12 student services environments is preferred
Experience with G suite applications
Strong time management, organization, and project prioritization skills
Obtain Clearances Act 33, Act 34, and Act 151
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
