JOB DESCRIPTION

NOCCCD is now accepting applications for an Adjunct English Instructor at Fullerton College!

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Masters in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition

OR

Bachelors in any of the above

AND Masters in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing or journalism

OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps.

Demonstrated successful experience teaching dual enrollment (high school/college) English courses.

Demonstrated experience teaching and supporting special population programs such as Puente and UMOJA with a commitment to their missions of equity, access and student success.

Salary Range: $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 - $1380.60 per lab unit rate

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY

This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.

This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
