Responsibilities include writing and gathering content for a wide range of marketing platforms and audiences, both internal and external. The position also collaborates with staff across campus and external vendors to execute communications across channels and to maintain the accuracy and consistency of messaging and branding.
Supervision Received/Exercised:
This position reports to the Assistant Director for Enrollment Communication and has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead projects from ideation to completion with a sense of urgency, working primarily independently and collaboratively to execute strategic communication initiatives. This role partners with the Assistant Director for Enrollment Communication to:
- plan and implement communication goals and action plans aligned with the college’s strategic objectives
- collaborate with the marketing team to disseminate communications across the appropriate media mix to increase brand awareness and visibility
Communicate effectively with campus clients, external vendors, and departmental colleagues to determine goals, audience, content, and timelines for assigned projects, foster positive relationships, and maintain high standards
Manage and coordinate variable content printing for on-demand print communication that includes writing, photo selection and partnering with an external vendor on printing
Develop targeted, accurate, marketing content for print, email, web, social media and vendor applications. Provide proofreading within the office as needed
Collaborate with other Communications and Marketing team members to identify and consistently message content and storytelling that follows a unified brand voice
Contribute content to a wide variety of media produced by the Communications and Marketing office
Create and implement special marketing initiatives

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, English, Marketing, Digital Media or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- One year experience of professional experience in higher education marketing, communication, recruitment, or e-recruiting
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Skilled at multitasking
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Able to work occasional evenings and weekends for major college events
Working Conditions:
Job duties require sitting at desk and computer for various lengths of time. Due to the inventory requirements of the role, individuals must be able to go up and down stairs lift up to 20 pounds, and walk from building to building to complete necessary tasks. Ability to navigate campus and attend events in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings.

- Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations.
