Enrollment Services Coordinator
General Summary
The Enrollment Services Coordinator serves as a key member of the Wrangler Express Center, the primary point of contact for prospective and current students, parents, and community members. This role provides comprehensive support across admissions, registration, financial aid, and payment processes, ensuring individuals receive clear, accurate, and timely guidance as they navigate the college experience. The Wrangler Express Center Call Center operates as an extension of these services, delivering high-quality customer support via phone, email, and chat. In addition to serving as a first-point resolution hub for student inquiries, the Call Center functions as the colleges central communication operator, efficiently routing calls and inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel to ensure prompt and effective service delivery.
Specific Position Duties
- Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective students, as well as other individuals contacting or visiting the Wrangler Express Center.
- Act as the primary liaison for international students, providing guidance and support throughout their educational journey.
- Serve as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), ensuring full compliance with program requirements.
- Oversee daily operations of the Wrangler Express Center and provide leadership support in the absence of the Director of Enrollment Services.
- Assist with the hiring, scheduling, and coordination of part-time personnel to meet departmental needs.
- Ensure appropriate training and ongoing development of enrollment services staff to support operational efficiency and service quality.
- Process and review applications for admission, assisting students with completion of online applications and residency questionnaires.
- Support international students with registration activities, including course adds, drops, and withdrawals, in compliance with visa requirements.
- Provide international students with resources and guidance to support successful transition, engagement, and completion at Odessa College.
- Update and maintain student records, including address changes and other demographic updates, as requested.
- Perform cashiering duties, including receipting payments, safeguarding cash funds, and accurately reconciling cash drawers and daily transaction logs.
- Advise prospective and current students, as well as parents, regarding payment options and assist with enrollment in online payment plans.
- Assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and provide guidance on financial aid processes, eligibility requirements, and available resources.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while adhering to established policies and procedures and adapting to new processes as required.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and collaborate effectively with colleagues to support departmental goals and services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree required.
- Must have flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays as part of a varied schedule.
- Proficient keyboarding and data entry skills with the ability to produce accurate records and professional-quality documents.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, manage responsibilities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with careful attention to spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree preferred.
Work Hours
Nature of the position will require work days and hours outside the normal college schedule. The Wrangler Express Center is open year around Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am until 7 pm, Fridays from 8 am until 5 pm, and on Saturdays from 9 am until no
