Salary Range: Up to $70,000/Annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Job Summary
The Enterprise Infrastructure Administrator is pivotal in the development, implementation, and management of the university's information technology infrastructure. The Administrator plays a key role in executing strategies that support the university's academic, research, and administrative goals. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of the university's IT infrastructure, data centers, and related facilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensures proper operation of datacenter(s) infrastructure, managing electrical, cooling, and other infrastructure elements.
- Manages tenants/server equipment within data centers, providing 24x7x365 response and on-call support.
- Maintains and updates data center procedures, policies, and audits, ensuring compliance with state and university regulations.
- Aligns with the Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to implement strategies for technology infrastructure.
- Represents University Technology Solutions in planning and improvement initiatives.
- Coordinates maintenance and operational support for all data center infrastructure.
- Shares responsibility for maintaining documentation related to data center infrastructure, including site drawings, construction documents, and project files.
- Provides excellent customer service in managing server environments and assisting facility occupants with move-in to new or renovated facilities.
- Coordinates equipment requirements and facilitates installations, maintaining focus on customer needs.
- Oversees IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with university standards and the Architect's vision.
- Manages scope, budget, and schedule for server or infrastructure installations.
- Leads and mentors a team of IT professionals, setting performance standards and facilitating professional growth.
- Manages team activities, including network connections and support across campus.
- Handles IT proposal requests, meetings, and contractual arrangements with consultants/vendors.
- Serves as the Contract Administrator, managing vendor relationships in line with IT objectives.
- Keeps current all data for equipment and environments, ensuring optimal functioning of data center facilities.
- Operates and tests the BCP/DR plan, maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess the infrastructure's operating state.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Vocational Training or Apprenticeship in a related field.
- Seven (7) years of related work experience.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

Working Conditions
Office Environment. This role requires after-hours and emergency response as needed. Requires use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis. Occasional after hours and weekend work or overtime may be required. Some exposure to weather and potential occupational hazards.
Physical Demands
Medium: Up to 50lbs - Ability to exert up to 50 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Ability to lift with or without accommodations. Repeated kneeling, stooping, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to crawl under desks/furniture for inspection of cables and troubleshooting purposes.
This position will work primarily on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
This position is contingent upon a successful background check. Verification of a valid driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be completed as applicable. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.
